The Get Down, la nouvelle série Netflix retraçant les débuts du hip-hop à New York, a été diffusée pour la première fois hier soir pour ses abonnés. Réalisé par Baz Luhrmann (Romeo & Juliet, Moulin rouge) et co-produit par le rappeur Nas, ce projet est illustré par une bande-son hip-hop/funk comprenant des classiques (« Think (About It) » de Lyn Collins, « (Are You Ready) Do the Bus Stop » de Fatback, « Bad Girls » de Donna Summer...) et de nouveaux titres signés Janelle Monáe, Kamasi Washington, Michael Kiwanuka et Leon Bridges, qui s’approprie le « Ball of Confusion » des Temptations.

La bande originale de The Get Down est disponible sur toutes les plateformes de streaming et en version 2-CDs Deluxe le 30 septembre.
