Sony Legacy vient de révéler le tracklisting du coffret Higher !, une anthologie 4-CDs ou de 8 LPs de Sly & the Family Stone à paraître le 27 août prochain. Celui-ci propose une sélection de 77 titres étalés entre 1964 et 1977 (les années Epic). Higher ! comprendra également 17 inédits, dont des chutes de studio, des versions alternatives, des singles mono et des extraits de concert, dont la fameuse apparition à l’Île de Wight en 1970. Un livret de 104 pages, signés des spécialistes Jeff Kallis et des archivistes (et fidèles lecteurs de Funk-U !) Arno et Edwin Konings, sans oublier les membres clé de la saga de Sylvester Stewart, accompagnera l’une des boxsets les plus attendues de 2013.
